California art expert Alfred C. Harrison, Jr., President of The North Point Gallery, will present a slide lecture
on Carl Sammons and his art at 2:00 p.m. followed by a reception. Free.
• Public Tour: Saturday, May 9, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Marvin Schenck, Curator of the Grace Hudson Museum, will do a gallery walk-through of the exhibition. Free.
• Plein Air Landscape Class: Saturday, June 20, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
A class in pastel drawing and painting of the California landscape on site with Warren Dreher, guest instructor.
The class fee is $50 with limited enrollment. Call Marvin Schenck, Curator, for more information.

Carl Sammons (1883-1968) is known for his Impressionist paintings and drawings that spanned California. Featured in the show are his seascapes, desert scenes, and the rolling golden California hills. This exhibition is organized and circulated by the Hearst Art Gallery, Saint Mary’s College of California.
